
Twilight at the Tower at Crooked River Lighthouse

The Crooked River Lighthouse will host Twilight at the Tower on Sunday, March 1 from 5-8 pm in Carrabelle, FL. The evening features after-hours museum tours, twilight tower climbs, and a glowing bonfire under the glowing moon. Visitors are invited to enjoy the stunning natural beauty of St. George Sound and Carrabelle Beach as the sun sets and the full moon rises. The Keeper’s House Museum with the 1894 Fresnel Lens, gift shop, and delicious food will round out the evening. Visitors can explore the Keeper’s House Museum after hours and view the lighthouse’s original 1894 Fresnel lens from Paris, France. The gift shop will offer unique nautical gifts. A bonfire will set the mood, and guests are welcome to bring chairs and relax as twilight turns to evening.
Those wishing to climb the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast can take part in twilight tower climbs. From the top, climbers will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views, the colors of the sunset, and the glow of the rising moon. As part of Park Fest, evening tower climbs will be a special price of $5 for ages 13 and up. Children 12 and under are free with an adult and must be at least 44 inches tall. Current members also climb free. Evening climbs are scheduled at 15-minute intervals.
