
Tech Help, Video Game Hour and Hurricane Preparation at the Carrabelle Branch

The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) announces a week of creative, engaging, and relaxed programs at the Franklin County Public Libraries. All programs are free and open to the public with no library card required. Note: both branches will be closed Monday, September 7 in recognition of Labor Day.
The Tech Help session will return on Tuesday, September 1 at 11 am at the Carrabelle Branch. Patrons will receive personalized, one-on-one tech assistance with devices, email, digital resources, and more. No registration is required; drop-ins are welcome.
Video Game Hour will be held on Thursday, September 3, at 4:30 pm at the Carrabelle Branch, teens and tweens are invited to unwind and compete on the Nintendo Switch during these fun and casual gaming hours.
In conjunction with Franklin County Emergency Management, a Hurricane Preparation event is scheduled for Friday, September 4 at 2 pm at the Carrabelle Branch. Residents can learn about hurricane and emergency preparedness, sign up for Alert Franklin notifications, special needs registry, transportation disadvantaged program, and information about local emergency resources. Franklin County Emergency Management staff will be available to answer questions and provide enrollment assistance.

Mahjong Club meets for open play Tuesday, September 1 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Eastpoint Branch. All players are invited to join in the fun.
Story Time will take place on Wednesday, September 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the Eastpoint Branch. This week’s book is Don’t Trust a Fish. Each week, Story Time brings stories to life through soundscapes, colorful visual aids, hands-on crafts, and simple games that encourage imagination, listening skills, and early literacy.
