Free Tech Class at the Eastpoint Library
August 19 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) are pleased to announce a free educational Tech Class on Tuesday, August 19 at 10:30 am at the Eastpoint Branch Library, 160 Hickory Dip Rd, Eastpoint, FL. Topics vary by session and may include email basics, internet safety, eBooks, and more. Registration is encouraged. This free program is part of the library’s ongoing Program Series, which offers enriching experiences for all ages—young children, students, and lifelong learners alike. Open to the public with no library card required, these events create a friendly and inclusive environment where community members can learn, explore, and connect.
This structured Tech Class is designed especially for beginners and older adults who want to become more confident using smartphones, tablets, or laptops. The class offers a relaxed, judgment-free space where participants can learn the basics, whether they are just getting started or feeling overwhelmed by technology.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction covering how to turn a device on and off, what the buttons do, how to tap, swipe, click, and scroll, and how to navigate the home screen. Friendly instructors will walk guests through easy-to-follow handouts and offer time for questions—without any pressure or embarrassment.
The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries, a 501(c)(3) organization, offers the Program Series to ensure that the libraries in Eastpoint and Carrabelle continue to provide informational, educational and cultural materials for the benefit of persons of all ages in the community. For details or to join the Friends, please visit https://friendsfcpl.com or contact the Eastpoint Branch at 850-670-8151. Funded in part by the Franklin County Tourist Development Council.
