Crooked River Park Fest 2024

The Crooked River Lighthouse presents the 2nd Annual Crooked River Park Fest 2024, Saturday, February 3rd, 9 am – 9 pm. The all-day festival features a Country ‘Super’ Market from 9 am – 5 pm, followed by Crooked River Park Fest Event Concert from 6 pm – 9 pm. The Crooked River Lighthouse Museum & Giftshop, Tower Climbs, and the new Fresnel Lens exhibit will be open to visitors (details below).
This year’s featured line-up for the Special Event Concert will feature the Funky Taters, a Tallahassee, Florida 10-piece band that plays jazz, blues, funk, rock, country folk & reggae, a mix that has been called the “Music of the Gulf Coast Highway” at the Crooked River Park Stage.
Country Market admission is free to the Public from 9 am – 5 pm. The Crooked River Lighthouse Museum & Giftshop and the 1894 Fresnel Lens Exhibit will be open to visitors during both events. Country “SUPER” Market 9 am – 5 pm
The Country Farmer’s Market features local vendors selling gifts and goodies like fresh roasted coffee, delicious baked goods, farm fresh produce, grass-fed beef, handcrafted balms & soaps, regional arts, local crafts, and photography.
Stop by and pick up a few market-fresh goods and grab a bite at Carrabelle’s own local Train Stop, and/or a snack of festival favorites (kettle corn, boiled peanuts). Shop for gifts and souvenirs from the Keeper House Museum & Gift shop. There will be something for everyone. Last year 40 vendors graced the park grounds, and we are expecting an expanded variety of market vendors.
Country Market Tower Climbs | General Admission (9 am at 5 pm) $5
General admission tower climbs are available to attendees (13 + yrs. old) for a suggested ($5) donation during country market hours from 9 am – 5 pm. Children 12 and under are free accompanied by ticketed adult climbers and must be a minimum of 42 inches tall.
Fresnel Lens Exhibit | (9 am – 5 pm) Free
The 4th order Fresnel Lens returned to the Crooked River Lighthouse after spending 45 years in New Orleans Louisiana. The new exhibit, a blend of science, culture, and history, highlights the role of Fresnel Lens technology. The recently animated and relit lens provides a unique “lighthouse keeper” experience. Crooked River Lighthouse Park Event Concert 9 am – 5 pm
The state-of-the-art Crooked River Park Stage will host the musical stylings of the Funky Taters. Band Musicians include Rene Arbogast (trumpet), Jan DeCosmo (hand percussion, vocals), Jordan Green (trap drum set), Mike Lewis (acoustic guitar, vocals), Bill Landing (sax), Tom Longfellow (sax), Dino Saliba (sax), Christopher Seepersaud (electric guitar), and Justin Varnes (electric bass).
Fresnel Lens Exhibit Tours | Hourly (9 am – 5 pm) $3
Learn the provenance of the Crooked River Lighthouse’s 4th-order Fresnel Lens.
The 4th order Fresnel Lens returned to the Crooked River Lighthouse after spending 45 years in New Orleans Louisiana. Museum docent-led tours of the Crooked River Lighthouse’s original Fresnel Lens Exhibit will be scheduled every 30 minutes ($3 suggested donation). The new exhibit, a blend of science, culture, and history, highlights the role of lighthouse technology over the past 130 yrs. The recently animated and relit lens provides a unique “lighthouse keeper” experience and our volunteer museum docents will highlight unique features and information about the unique history of our original lens.
Special Event Night Tower Climbs | Reservations ONLY (6 – 9 pm) $10
Special Event Climbs are available from 6 pm to 9 pm at 15-minute intervals. Climbers must be 13 + years of age or accompanied by an adult. Pre-event climb reservations are available now. Reservations are required at scheduled 15-minute intervals throughout the evening event.
