Boat Parade of Lights Registration
Welcome to our annual Boat Parade of Lights. Anyone can participate in this favorite holiday event for Carrabelle and the Forgotten Coast! There are NO FEES! 4 SIZE CATEGORIES 1ST, 2ND, & 3RD, Honorable Mention, & Best of Show!
BEST OF SHOW WINNER WILL RECEIVE A ONE YEAR MEMBERSHIP TO TOWBOATUS!
Please remember this is a family-friendly event and we ask all our participants to refrain from “excessive celebrating” until after the awards ceremony. The parade will be monitored by law enforcement for safe boating practices. For more details on this year’s event as they become available, see 2024 Holiday on the Harbor & Boat Parade of Lights.
Fee
There is no entry fee to participate in the Boat Parade of Lights! Please submit your form by Friday, Dec.13, 3:00 p.m.
The Course
The boat parade takes a circular course on the Carrabelle River. Line time will be announced, starting time just after dark. Boat captains are required to attend a meeting to receive boat entry number and instructions for line-up. The date and location for the meeting will be communicated to you the week of the festival.
Time
Line up for the Boat Parade is 6 pm, starting time just after dark. Exact information will be provided at the Captains’ Meeting.
Mandatory Captains’ Meeting
Boat captains participating in the parade are required to attend a meeting where they will receive their assigned boat entry number and instructions for the parade line-up. The time of the Captains’ Meeting will be announced by the Safety Captain and entries will be informed. The date and location for the meeting will be communicated to you the week of the festival.
Technical
Monitor VHF Channel 18. Be sure you have all safety equipment on board including extra life vests for visitors onboard. It would be a good idea to have extra electrical fuses for inverters and on-board generators. Inverters which plug into a cigarette lighter or connect directly to a battery can be purchased from area retailers at a nominal cost to power decorative lights.

The Boat Parade of Lights and Holiday on the Harbor is hosted by the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce, The City of Carrabelle CRA, Tow Boat U.S. and WOYS Oyster Radio. The event is also funded in part by the Franklin County Tourist Development Council.

Release of Liability: It is expressly understood that all participants in the parade enter at their own risk and that the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce, their officers, and directors and all persons connected directly or indirectly with operations of the parade, or any sponsor of the parade shall be exempt from any liability, slander, loss, damage, negligence, harm, injury, or death suffered by any participant, their companions, boat captains, mates, crew members, guests, vessels and equipment which may occur during the parade. By submitting the entry form, the participant(s) agrees to follow the parade rules and that the parade and/or its sponsors may use without payment or restriction any photographs in which he or she appears for any purpose whatsoever but not limited to resale, advertising, commercial or promotional material.
