Boat Parade of Lights Registration

The Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce together with the City of Carrabelle invites you to join us for the  Annual Boat Parade of Lights which is open to anyone who wants to participate. We hope you will join us for what has become a favorite holiday event not only for the Carrabelle community but for much of the Forgotten Coast.  Please remember this is a family-friendly event and we ask all our participants to refrain from “excessive celebrating” until after the awards ceremony.  The parade will be monitored by law enforcement for safe boating practices. For more details on this year’s event as they become available, see 2023 Holiday on the Harbor & Boat Parade of Lights.

Fee
There is no entry fee to participate in the Boat Parade of Lights! Please submit your form by December 9th!

The Course
The boat parade takes a circular course on the Carrabelle River which begins at the Old Flour Docks at the end of Marine Street, continues up the river to Tillie Miller Bridge, and then turns downriver to return to the starting point. All entries must complete the entire course before leaving the parade line-up at no-wake speed.

Time
Line up for the Parade will be around 6:00-6:15 pm with a starting time shortly after. Exact information will be provided at the Captains’ Meeting.

Mandatory Captains’ Meeting
Boat captains participating in the parade are required to attend an afternoon meeting where they will receive their assigned boat entry number and instructions for the parade line-up. The time of the Captains’ Meeting will be announced by the Safety Captain and entries will be informed. The date and location for the meeting will be communicated to you the week of the festival.

Technical
Monitor VHF Channel 18. Be sure you have all safety equipment on board including extra life vests for visitors onboard. It would be a good idea to have extra electrical fuses for inverters and on-board generators. Inverters which plug into a cigarette lighter or connect directly to a battery can be purchased from area retailers at a nominal cost to power decorative lights.
