Fourth of July Fireworks at dark on the Harbor! Fireworks display will be on Timber Island near the Tiki Hut and excellent viewing along Marine Street. Start the day out at te Community Picnic at Tillie Miller Park, activities include: Sack Races, Pie Baking Contest, Cake Walk, Relay and much more. Community Jam Fest, bring your instrument and join in the fun! Bring your blanket, picnic and chairs and celebrate the 4th! Free Crooked River Lighthouse climb from 1-4 pm! 5th Annual C-Quarters Marina Youth Fishing Tournament held at the marina at 501 St. James Ave. for Youth to 15 years old. Fishing hours from 8 am to 4 pm. River and Bay fishing only. Fishing categories: Speckle Trout-Flounder-Cat Fish-Black Sea Bass-Pin Fish-Spainish Mackerel-Croaker-Pigfish. Free shirt, hat & rod and reel to first 125 kids registered! 17th Annual Port St. Joe Scallop Festival

The Florida Seafood Festival is the State's Oldest Maritime Exhibit. The two day event annually draws thousands of visitors to this scenic historic town at the mouth of the Apalachicola River. The festival features seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events and displays under the shady oaks of Apalachicola's Battery Park. Some of the notable events include oyster eating, oyster shucking, a parade, a 5k Redfish Run and a Blessing of the Fleet.
